Water Pump for Forklifts - Connected to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. Fluid is circulated by the pump when the engine is running.
The water pump uses centrifugal force in order to send water to the outside as it rotates. This action causes fluid to be continuously drawn from the center of the pump. The pump inlet is positioned close to the center. This design allows fluid coming back from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically placed in order to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it goes in the engine.
The fluid primarily flows through the cylinder head and engine block before exiting the pump. The fluid then travels into the radiator before finally returning to the pump.
