Forklift Mast Roller - The mast of the lift truck is an integral part of the forklift's structure. These lift truck vehicles are big industrial equipment which assist businesses raise a transport supplies and goods.
The mast is a vertical assembly which is responsible for lowering and raising the load. The mast of a lift truck consists of interlocking rails so as to give some lateral stability. These rails are guided by rollers or brushings.
The masts on lift trucks use metal plates to be able to transport goods and are driven by hydraulic systems. Hydraulics is defined by the transmission of power which utilizes pressurized fluid, which in this particular case is oil. Hydraulic cylinders that link directly to the lift truck motor are responsible for driving the mast, causing it to lower, lift or tilt a load. The pressurized oil drives the cylinder piston to be able to move in a linear motion, or in strokes. The mast is normally operated via a handle inside the cab or positioned in the area of the lift truck which houses the forklift control parts and the driver.
A swing mast defines a lift truck truck using a mast that could swing in a ninety degree angle in one direction. This design allows the swing mast to function in aisles which are less than 6 feet wide.
